Ingredients

  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle root beer, cold
  • water, or as needed
  • 1 ¼ cups skim milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar-free chocolate flavoring syrup (such as Torani®)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar-free caramel flavoring syrup (such as Torani®)
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee (such as Folgers®)
  • 1 tablespoon imitation vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon artificial sweetener, or to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Pour root beer into an ice cube tray, adding water to fill the tray as needed.
  2. Freeze until solid, 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Combine frozen root beer, milk, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, instant coffee, vanilla extract, and sweetener in a blender; blend until smooth.
Use diet or regular root beer. Use decaf or regular coffee; Substitute 2% or whole milk for the skim if preferred; Substitute sugar for the artificial sweetener if desired.
