Seasoning Recipe ∶ Healthier Taco Seasoning I

Depending on how spicy you and your family like your dishes, use as little or as much as you want. This healthier version uses fresh garlic. Store it in your refrigerator!

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Cooking Directions

  1. Crush garlic with salt until it forms a paste. Stir in chili powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, paprika, cumin, and pepper in a small bowl. Alternatively, combine all ingredients in a bowl of a mini-food processor until well mixed. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
